Position Summary :
We are currently seeking a Global Commodity Engineer to join our global team to help drive our strategic sourcing, supplier selection & development, supplier engineering, supplier performance management and materials cost reduction initiatives, with focus on the Mexico / Americas supply base.
The majority of focus will be on development and management of suppliers supporting our Industrial market segment customers within the Celestica Monterrey with a particular focus on large mechanical Build To Print’ components’.
The successful candidate will also support Celestica plants within USA and Canada as needed.
The successful candidate will have significant experience dealing with large mechanical Build To prind’ compenents and be a Subject Matter Expert’ in at least one mechanical area.
They will also be experienced in the management of supplier relationships to ensure delivery of business results and ongoing cost productivity initiatives.
This individual will report to the Senior Supply Chain Manager responsible for the Americas
Detailed Description :
This is a Invididual Contributor position, requiring a candidate who is able to operate with without micromanagement and who possesses significant Mechanical experience coupled with a keen business acumen.
This individual will be expected to manage complex mechanical suppliers from selection through development and into mass production.
In addition to driving the technical development they will also be expected to assist with the business set up and drive cost reductions.
