PROJECT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title : Project Manager

Reports To : Operations Manager

Department : Operations

Area Manager : Operations

Operations

Objective / Purpose of the Function :

Responsible for effective Project Management to keep our critical projects on course in support of key operations plan initiatives.

Focus on designing, communicating, and implementing an operational plan for completing an engineering-based project

This will keep our focus on execution of projects planned according with the timelineincreasing the effectiveness on execution of these projects on expected completion dates.

Authority :

See individual Standard Operation Procedures for authorities on Management Systems.

Principal Responsibilities :

Strategize, implement and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives

Understand the scope and operational requirements for the project

Manage all project activities by leading and conducting project meetings to track status using the internal project management tool for tracking to report projects metrics

Execution of project planned according with timeline and expected dates

Actively manage and optimize the use of resources on project

Ensure together with the team that financial assumptions for the project are met

Maintain the staff members informed on projects status to identify potential risks to address them on time

Anticipates bottlenecks, explore contingencies and provide escalation management as needed

Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan

Comply the internal policies of Spellman Mexico Operations documented on Ethical Conduct Guide

Make sure all legal, safety and customer requirements expected for the project are

Competences / abilities :

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering required, MBA preferred

10 + years of experience in project management required

Project Management Institute (PMI) certificationpreferred

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft project, ROI analysis, resource management tools

Excellent communication and follow up skills

Hard-driving results oriented

Highly organized, detail oriented, data driven

Seasoned and Highly effective project management professional

Required limited supervision to execute assigned responsibilities

Strong leadership skills

Bi-lingual English-Spanish

Personal Protect Equipment required :

ESD coat and foot straps, safety glasses and shoes.

Computer Equipment required :

Desktop computer, headset, desk telephone, licenses of Adobe Acrobat, .
