Job Description :
The Inventory Specialist primary role is to propose and embed the inventory strategy for LAC markets. Is also responsible to run and deploy the stock models that drive service levels in each one of the markets, ensuring stock availability as well as Case fill rate.
The role includes modelling, planning and deployment within the team and stakeholders of network strategy among the different locations
It supports Innovation pipeline analysis in the region for finished goods and components, new to market and renovation projects
Implementation of inventory Improvement Initiatives and Action Plans
Data management for the correct APO functioning
Support to Supply Planning (manufacturing, scheduling, materials)
Support to Innovation Planning and Brand Change project management in the region
Lead inventory optimization projects in the region to support Diageo s Average Working Capital initiatives
This role covers operational excellence support for one of the 6 LAC markets : PUB, Mexico, CCA, PEBAC, Colombia, Venezuela
Monthly inventory optimization model by market
Reporting of KPIs, monthly calls, weekly health tracker and / or risk assessments, sku exceptions.
Manage for value across the Market’s Supply Chain (E.g. minimize write-offs, double handling, etc)
Support for Innovation analysis on new to market and renovation projects
Support for Move projects on logistic network redesigns
Continuously link with production sites and Logistic team to guarantee the space availability for finished goods and dry components storage CAPEX investment
Keep a detailed control of all data management in the system
The successful monitoring of SLOBS with the intention of improving provisions.
Process, communication and performance management
Responsible to identify risks and / or opportunities to the overall supply plan and execute necessary changes & communicate effectively to key stakeholders
Responsible to maintain consistent inventory management practices in line with meeting demand requirements, identifying solutions to mitigate risks and improve overall tracking.
Responsible to conduct root cause analysis of multiple information streams
Management of the phasing in & out of products during it product life cycle
Management of slow moving stock with the objective of minimising the write off of obsolete finished products
Weekly reports on innovation project status and support
Skills and Capabilities
Baseline understanding of the end-to-end Supply Chain Planning processes; Supply Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning, Inventory Planning, Logistics and Customer Service
Strong analytical, organizational and decision making skills
Good communication skills verbal, written and presentation
Proficient in MS applications e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
1 to 3 years’ experience working within the Production or Distribution Planning process; Consumer Packaged Goods Industry preferred
Experience with advanced planning software within Supply Planning (SAP APO system and Business Intelligence / BW )
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in appropriate supply chain, mathematical, Logistics, engineering, or business degree.
APICS CPIM / CSCP or equivalent desirable.
