Position Summary :
This position is responsible for design, development, simulation, application and testing of next generation vehicle systems
Essential Functions :
Support launch task for new and existing vehicle systems.
Analyze updates and changes to current vehicle products using hardware in the loop simulation, potential in-vehicle testing.
Create engineering reports and documentation using well established best practices for engineering document storage.
Assist in resolving product and system integration issues by working with test engineering and product engineering.
Ability to apply control system concepts and theory to real world application.
System level design incorporating both electrical and mechanical components.
Data collection and data processing to extract meaning from large amount of collected data.
Strong computer aided engineering skills including Matlab and Simulink or similar.
Self-starter capable of working independently but required to keep others informed of activities.
Hands-on : willing to work on mechanical issues, wiring issues, and software issues.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Mechanical aptitude a plus.
2-5 years’ experience preferred
Willing to consider less than 2 years of experience if education and classroom experiences match well with job essential functions.I
Internship or Co-Op experience in automotive or similar related field.
Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering required. Focus on control systems preferred. Master’s degree a plus.
Classroom experience working on complex projects with several team members.
