Mondelez International is looking for : Senior Scientist Description The role will be responsible for the compliance of products sold through the distributor and world travel retail routes to markets within the region they operate in.
The role will coordinate the feedback on compliance across a number of means including using external distributor networks, consultants, internal contractors, on line food compliance systems and own knowledge and will be required to have strong communication, project management and influencing skills to do this.
The role analyses results, makes recommendations, leverages prior experiences to create robust action plans and provides appropriate follow ups.
The role will also be required to attend cross functional meetings, advise on risks and compliance issues for the various markets in the region on a product basis and act as key leader on cross-
functional teams. The role will also be responsible for liaising with and ensuring compliance cover in other regions through their counterpart regional hub leads to ensure a smooth, fully resourced plan is in place to meet the customers needs.
This role will also be responsible for supporting the Distributor auditing process for Regulatory Compliance within the region they operate.
In addition, this role will support with technical information requested by the authorities during sanitary registration process when apply.
This role will also be responssible for recording all database work and that reviews and maintain his feedback in an accurate manner and that requests for information are submitted to the global team on a timely basis.
The role will also issue export certification and SARA controlled border certification as required for products emanating from North America or Latin America for export both within the region and globally.
This role will support monitoring emerging regulations in Caribbean Islands (except Puerto Rico) and mainly Dominican Republic and communicate any issue for the business.
The role will work together with Scientific Affairs LA to send comments during public consultation. Main responsabilities Ensure the timely gathering of information to enable compliance evaluations on new product launches, expansion of products to new markets, periodic reviews of existing products in market and at the request of management on an ad hoc basis Carry out compliance checks on products falling within own area of expertise.
Communicate feedback in a timely manner according to service level agreements with customers. Issue PLR (product label report) using on line database system, Meridian.
Ensure that a decision on non-compliant product is both recorded and acted upon in a satisfactory manner to mitigate risks to the wider Mondelez Int.

Maintain, create and issue documentation as required on a market by market basis for both own region and for products shipped to other regions.
Create, build and develop relationships with internal customers and external consultants and distributors networks to establish a virtual society enabling the business agenda within SARA.
Attend regional and global PAM, MOR and PDR request meetings as appropriate. Carry out translations of labels into languages acceptable for markets in own region, coordinate translation of labels within the Distributors Network channels or by using External Translation Houses within the region they operate.
Review all claims against regulated standards to ensure compliance in markets where launched. QualificationsAcademic Knowledge Bachelor ́s Degree or MS in Chemistry, Food Science, Nutrition Science or closely related discipline Highly effective communicator Written and Oral both Spanish and English Portuguese is a plus Working Knowledge General Work Experience Work experience in a Corporate RDQ environment with a foundation in either Research & Product Development or manufacturing that includes exposure to Regulatory Affairs or Nutrition.
2-3 YR) Functional Work Experience Region or BU RDQ and / or quality management experience. The candidate must have strong business acumen and a deep understanding of commercialization in the areas of Regulatory Compliance and / or Nutrition.
