The Systems Engineer is responsible for the design and development of advanced driver assistance system control modules, radar, camera, and lidar sensors from concept phase to production.
Core Responsibilities :
Lead for cross discipline technical topics (electronics, software, algorithm, mechanics ) and / or vehicle system level interface issues.
Support quotation process with technical knowledge of designs to meet specifications and requirements (critical requirements analysis, create project specific system / product architecture)
Main interface with core technical group to understand current base development technology and development status to inform local project teams
Responsible for evaluating customer specifications and translating the system requirements into DOORS for requirements to test traceability
Support of the project team in understanding and interpreting the requirements
Negotiation of customer requirements where requirements may conflict with industry trends
Main interface to customer for system requirements clarification
Ensure designs meet customer requirements & specifications
Evaluate internal and external engineering design change requests
Work closely with project managers, developers and customers
Support the System FMEA process
Applies ISO26262 to the management of safety related requirements
Support customer presentations, interfacing with OEMs on technical topics
Make design recommendations with evaluated risks, cost improvements, etc
Necessary requirements :
Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field
Minimum 3 years experience in automotive industry Familiar with basic automotive development / quality process
Excellent communication, team, and presentation skills.
Be able to work in distributed global team environment Experience in requirements engineering / management process
Able to learn to work with new technologies and systems
Excellent engineering analysis / analytical ability
General knowledge of automotive electronic sensor / module / systems
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficient in the use of written and spoken English, with a focus on technical topics.
Valid USA Visa and availability for travel.
3 years professional experience in Automotive Electronic Products or Systems
Experience in driver assistance or other safety electronic products.
Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS
Experience with software lifecycle management tools such as PTS / MKS Integrity
Knowledge in ISO26262, IEC61508, and / or Automotive SPICE
Experience with FMEA methods and tools (such as APIS IQ FMEA)
