SeniorNutrition Scientist, LatAm

The Senior Scientist provides nutritionscience expertise to help bring innovations in pediatric nutrition to the LatinAmerican market, and advises on nutrition science matters with the potential toimpact the company.
He or she will workacross functions and departments in order to accomplish objectives. This position is based in Mexico City.
Provide scientific leadershipand technical input on claims development & substantiation, and nutritionpositions & policies.
Monitor and evaluate sciencelandscape, ingredients, and technology opportunities.
Determine science-basednutrition profiles for new and improved products.
Effectively communicate acrosstechnical and non-technical audiences both internally and externally.
Network broadly withexternal / internal technical community to assure access to current andinnovative technologies and scientific advances, and maintain credibility withthe external scientific & regulatory community.
Identify, lead and / orcontribute to nutrition research that addresses business needs.
Contribute to the developmentof integrated, tactical, science-based, global & regional communicationplans.
Help develop and revieweducational and promotional materials for consumers and health careprofessionals.
Support nutrition education andtraining for internal and external audiences.
Advanced degree, (RD, MS, PhDpreferred), in nutrition or related discipline, with excellent general knowledgeof nutrition.
2+ years industry experience innutritional sciences or related field preferred.
Experience in pediatric nutritionis preferred.
Strong background in generalmetabolism, nutritional biochemistry, and physiology.
Excellent interpersonal skillsincluding the ability to develop effective working relationships and networkswith culturally and technically diverse groups.
Ability to evaluate andtranslate complex technical information to identify opportunities fornew / reformulated products and / or more compelling communications for existingproducts.
Capable of identifying anddriving the application of nutrition science to generate positive businessresults.
Ability to effectivelycommunicate science / technological concepts and business applications totechnical and non-technical audiences at multiple levels through a variety offormats to enable sound business decisions.
Excellent writing and presentingskills.
Strong competency withMicrosoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point).
