AECOM company, is seeking an Environmental Impact Study Manager to be based in our Mexico City Office, Mexico. The individual filling this position will be responsible for the development and management of a group of specialists that will provide consulting services associated with the preparation of environmental impact studies for projects in the oil & gas, mining, industrial, commercial and transportation sectors in Mexico.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :
Identify potential clients and interact regularly with them to expand work assignments or market new work
Assist Business Line Managers in the development of new business, marketing to potential and existing clients.
Participate in marketing efforts and business development
Prepare marketing materials and make calls and visits to potential new clients
Achieve sales targets for Environmental Impact Studies
Manage clients and contracts
Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements, explain proposed project completion approach
Lead the preparation of technical proposals
Determine project schedule and budget requirements
Complete quality control of project tasks and products of technical and administrative staff assigned to the project
Carry out project and client management activities
Verify that applicable codes, standards, practices and client requirements are met in the completion of project deliverables
Interact directly with client to gather information and discuss project requirements
Direct the report preparation efforts
Prepare and assign scopes, budgets and schedules for project assignments
Regularly review and evaluate project preparation efforts
Provide advice to client on environmental matters, including compliance with government laws and regulations
Assigns tasks to technical and administrative staff working on the project
Supervise and motivate staff under his / her management for the achievement of their individual goals
Train, mentor and evaluate staff under his / her management
Track overall group and project financial performance
Monitor sold time and work backlog on task
Collaborate with other group leaders and managers to optimize staff utilization
Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Environmental Engineering or Chemistry
10+ Years of Experience
Experience with Environmental Impact Studies, Environmental Permitting, and Environmental Audits,
Experience with Consulting services, Due Diligence, Impact Assessments, and Environmental Management Systems
Experience with the environmental permits and requirements of the Environmental and Safety Agency for the Hydrocarbons Sector (ASEA)
Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations
Proficiency in use of computer software such as Word, Excel and Power Point
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Master Degree or Associate Degree in Environmental Sciences focused on completion of EIAs
Register as Professional Specialist in Environmental Consulting Services (PROFEPA; EMA, others)
