Within the BU, the Director of Quality is responsible to :

  • Ensure processes in place, products and services delivered to customers are compliant with customers, Regulatory, and Zodiac Aerospace requirements (during all the phases of product lifecycle).
  • Support continuous improvement through the optimization of processes & organization in accordance with operational excellence goals, Zodiac and Cabin Quality policy and strategy.
  • Develop the Quality Network of the BU, support Group, Branch and Division Quality Network.
  • Deploy quality targets through HK.
  • Promote, support and coach QRQC within the BU
  • Authority

  • Ensure through his / her broad & independent authority to that all of our products and quality processes meet / exceed both regulatory requirements and customers’ expectations.
  • When quality level is considered insufficient to meet customer expectations, or when infringing aviation regulation or when safety is involved, in case of the BU or RU has not made that appropriate decision : Stop deliveries and propose / decide recall of products already delivered, Limit or suspend the use of a supplier, Freeze program quality gates.
  • Responsible for ensuring the BUs and RUs deploy Group Quality initiatives
  • Impact within the Branch and Division

  • Ensure communication to Management regarding Quality topics, including quality crisis, alerts and compliance risks
  • Ensure compliance with customers & regulatory & Zodiac Aerospace requirements
  • Challenges and complexity

  • Depend on BU Quality Maturity, complexity of organization, exposition to customers
  • Competencies / Skills / Qualifications

  • Qualifications : BA / BS or 4 year degree + min 10 to 15 years experience
  • Experience in Aerospace or Automotive sector (Optional)
  • Performance Evaluation / Measurement

  • Attendance to Quality meetings at Division level
  • Quality of alerts raised
  • Accuracy of quality measurements (ZNCR, ZDPU, SNCR, cost of non-quality)
  • Execution of Improvement Plans
  • Satisfaction level of customers regarding improvement plan & level of communication
  • Execution of Internal Audits program
  • Execution of Suppliers audit program
  • Level of compliance of the BU regarding external requirements (9100, civil aviation, customers)
  • Adherence to and compliance with Branch and Division strategies and ZA Standards deployment plan measured as the BU maturity towards each standard.
  • Level of deployment of prevention tools
  • Level of coverage of quality activities within the BUs
