TE Connectivity's Stamping Teams operate assigned automated stamping machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity.
They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures.
Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Lead projects for the Stamping Production Team in resolution of customer complaints, scrap reductions, efficiency problems, rate improvements, process deviations, Sample Runs, cost reduction projects and Preventative Maintenance Program.
Lead and analyze production equipment of any manufacturing process and make recommendations and plans for repairs on equipment that will result in improved processes.
Lead Cost Reduction projects through Six Sigma, 5s and other available improvement tools.
Maintain and / or support all related process documentation, not limited to but including repair logs, manuals, drawings, and procedures.
Support Launch receiving efforts for new product, product extensions and processes in to the plant.
Support and analyse present tooling and make recommendations to replace or rebuild such tooling with other types of materials to improve or prolong tool life.
Participate in Product and Equipment design reviews for purpose of developing a robust product and manufacturing process.
Prepare and obtain quotes and materials needed for design builds and construction projects.
Work from verbal instructions, sketches, blueprints, machine manuals and worn or broken parts to determine size, shape, configuration, etc.

Support design, development, and engineering on machine tools and fixtures and related items for plant improvement projects using machine design engineering principles and best practices.
Support spare parts requirements and inventory levels.
Must be able to work and act in a professional manner with all levels of associates and interface with customers as required
Academic Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Minimum 5 years experience in Stamping processes in manufacturing environment preferably in tool & die making & die with supervisory experience.
Skills Use of CAD tools (auto-cad, Pro-E), Basic tool design & modification knowledge. Good interpersonal & communication skills.
Knowledge in GD&T / SPC / FMEA / DOE preferred
Proficiency in spoken & written English
Good Technical background in tool & die.
Good supervisory & leadership skills.
Knowledge in SAP system.
