Supervisor, Quality Control - Semiconductor Manufacturing
Location : Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Objective of the position :
Based at our location in Reynosa, the Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of hourly Quality staff and the daily operations.
Activities include, but are not limited to, prioritizing daily assignments, training QC associates, and completing quality work as needed.
The supervisor is responsible for successful performance of the team with regards to business metrics as it relates to the usage decisions of in process materials and finished product.
The ideal candidate must have verifiable experience in quality, preferably in an electronics or semiconductor manufacturing setting.
Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
Actively lead operational processes to ensure all products meet / exceed established quality standards.
Ensure proper quality procedures and compliance in cooperation with production supervisors to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
Participate in problem-solving, conducts root cause analysis of non-conformances, applies corrective and preventive actions, trends data, and implement process improvements for product performance.
Plans, coordinates, and directs quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards : Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
Reviews, prepares, and implements the use of technical documents, method development, procedures and work instructions.
Manage performance of non-exempt team members, to include writing and delivering performance appraisals, administering disciplinary action, providing positive recognition, and professional development of the team.
Manage non-exempt time keeping, monitoring employee attendance, vacation, PTO, and off-hour operations.
Responsible for the execution of Lean Manufacturing / Kaizen methods for continuous improvement.
Responsible for the execution of 5S in their areas of responsibility.
Communicate company requirements to quality personnel.
Encourage teamwork to achieve the objectives.

Skills and Knowledge Required :
Degree of engineering / complete certification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
2 or more years of experience in a supervision or lead role with verifiable experience in Quality or a related area.
ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools.
Knowledge of Kaizen methodology.
Knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
English, written and verbal skills are preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office systems including Word, Excel, Outlook.
Results-oriented and able to follow and able to execute established metrics.
Ability to plan and control daily, weekly and monthly activities.
Ability to analyze problems and make decisions.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Desired Skills and Knowledge :
Experience in manufacturing of electronic components or a related industry.
Basic knowledge of SAP system.
Knowledge in production lines of high mix, low volume (high mix).
