The Focus Factory Manager will be resposible to coordinate all production operations in accordance with company objectives at optimum efficiency consistent with safety and quality requirements.
Main Activities :
Direct all production supervisors in preparation and implementation of production operating plans and strategies consistent with company business plan.
Develop and maintain an effective organization through selection, training, and motivation of all production personnel.
Maintain staffing requirements.
Monitor and direct all production activities, conditions, and schedules through direct contact with managers and supervisors.
Initiate and implement programs that lead to reduced cost and improved safety, quality and efficiency.
Ensure consistent compliance with plant policies pertaining to safety, quality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and general plant housekeeping and operation.
Maintain compliance with Tenneco Operations Policy. Seek to improve safety, 5S, and visual management continuously.
Additional Responsibilities :
Continuous Improvement : Analyze production operations to determine where improvements may be made which will contribute to plant profitability.
Such analyses may be occasioned by excessive material usage, excessive equipment downtime, improper material flow, or opportunities for utilizing different subassemblies and / or purchasing parts which are manufactured by us at a loss or close profit margin.
Plans and executes corrective actions and follows up on implementation to assure desired results.
Absenteeism : Counsel with Unit Managers and employees to keep absenteeism, turnover, and safety within predetermined levels.
Training : Assists in the selection, orientation, and training of all manufacturing personnel; evaluating performance and achievement of goals through the performance appraisal system.
Safety : Study, institute and maintain efficient and safe work practices, procedures, facilities; by coordinating with the Human Relations Department and Manufacturing Engineering Department and keep them abreast of all safety and efficiency requirements in order to maintain an accident-
free, high efficiency plant operation.
Employee Relations : Work with the Employee Relations Manager to improve employee relations and morale through proper management training, environment and other necessary programs to maintain a non-
union status. Effective communication with all levels of management is essential.
Six Sigma : Supervise and direct plantwide Six Sigma projects to ensure successful implementation of all Black Belt projects to achieve annual cost reduction targets.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Advanced English Level
5 years of experience in a similar role with a strong background in Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering (Metal-Mechanic Industry)
