The Team Leader role will be responsible for monitoring daily work assignments to team members and will also be responsible for individual work outputs and for the assigned area, coaching the team as well as coordinating various administrative tasks while maintaining appropriate coverage for the business owners.
Additional responsibilities include : Coordinate with the training consultant, creation and implementation of corrective actions, escalation of issues, maintaining visual display boards, accountability boards and participate proactively with Impact Coaching sessions, participate in new employee interviews.
This position reports to the area manager.
Main responsibilities :
Monitor daily work assignments, review of workloads and confirmation of deadlines.
Oversee team work output for quality and adherence to metrics. Develops corrective actions when performance is below established metrics.
Monitor and follow up Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
Follow-up with customers for feedback and corrective action.
Provides guidance and manages the process for creation and management of team member’s development plans. Coaching for performance, personal development and success of the team members.
Coordinates formal instruction on topic and specific training with the Training Consultant to address team’s development needs.
Supports the teams in work assignments to meet or exceed the business objectives.
Works closely with the Group Manager in communicating the team needs, team progress, escalation of corrective actions and HR issues.
Skills / Abilities :
Problem definition. Conceptual ability, problem solving & analysis.
MS Office, Outlook, and design specific platform such as CET, ACAD and Sketchup skills.
Strong interpersonal relations skills.
Thorough knowledge of our Design processes.
Strong leadership and time management skills with the ability to apply judgment.

Education / Experience :
Architect or Designer.
3-5 years of design related experience.
Experience working with Steelcase Dealers.
Proven leadership, project management, continuous improvement and performance orientation skills.
