Position Summary :
Our design team in Mexico is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the team in our Leon Guanajuato office.
As an electrical engineer you will lead, or support, large scale industrial and manufacturing projects consisting of low and medium power distribution, lighting and communication systems.
As part of an international design firm, you will leverage Revit, and other modeling software to provide value based design for our world-class clients.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
May review system requirement and preparation of design, scopes of work and estimates for new project
Verify that applicable codes and engineering standards practices are being met
Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluations, tests, products or equipment when necessary data are insufficient or confirmation by testing is advisable
Perform as a staff advisor and consultant as to technical specialty, a type of facility, industry, equipment or program function
Resolve issues or problems concerning conflicting design requirements, specifications and / or difficult coordination requirements
Conduct peer reviews and makes technical presentations
Conduct calculation checks
Draw engineering conclusions for data analysis within area of technical proficiency
Assist in determining schedule and budget requirements
Under direction of a professional or appropriately experienced engineer, manages small tasks or portions of larger project
Under the direction of a professional or appropriately experienced engineer, independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications
Assistance furnished on unusual problems and work reviewed for application of sound professional judgment
Make decisions independently on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work
Carry out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures
Minimum Education and Experience :
Dipl. Ing. / DIRECT / 3-5OSHA 10 / 30-hour Construction Certificate preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
BIM / CAD Experience
BS Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
1-2 years of proven experience on Electrical Motors, Generator, electrical / electronic failure analysis and electrical / electronic equipment problem solving.
Self-motivated, make things happen, take owner and leadership.
Has the ability to prioritize and work critical issues first.
Problem solving techniques.
Ability to work in a team environment
Effective writing skills and excellent communications skills. Bilingual English-Spanish.
Available for travel out of town and out of province
