Job Description : Position Scope : Key areas of responsibility : + Providing a secure workplace for the companys Mexico operations + Protecting the companys physical assets + Ensuring B-

F Mexicos compliance with Customs C-TPAT requirements + Executive protection + Event security + Provide crisis management expertise with Risk Management in implementing the Corporate Crisis Management program for Mexico.

Basic Functions : + Lead the Mexico corporate security function to ensure the safety of both our employees and physical assets.

  • Collaborate with the Director, Global Security and the Risk Management department in the U.S. in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategy.
  • Evaluate the type and level of security risks facing our Mexico operations and implement programs to incorporate risk mitigation into the planning processes for these operations.
  • In partnership with Logistics, ensure the company remains in compliance with the C-TPAT requirements. Perform periodic security surveys of the Mexico supply chain using Risk Management tools.
  • Lead and coordinate executive protection and personal travel protection of Mexico based employees as well as employees visiting on business.
  • Advise senior management and the Director, Global Security on significant security issues that could threaten our employees or operations.
  • Lead and coordinate security of special events while keeping the Director, Global Security informed. Job Responsibilities + Develop and implement security operating procedures to ensure a consistent approach to protecting the companys employees and assets.
  • Using tools developed by Risk Management, work with the production plant and offices to evaluate their security systems, programs and staffing;
  • recommend improvements; and assist with the implementation of the improvements, as needed. + Develop and manage the implementation of effective cargo security loss control measures.

  • Stay current with evolving security threats, including political and terrorist activities, and their potential impact on B-
  • F Mexico operations, and lead the process to identify, develop and implement solutions to mitigate the threats. + Manage the investigation of significant security incidents, including the theft of company assets, threats to employees, unauthorized access to company property, etc.

    Ensure that all security incidents are properly managed at the local level. + Ensure personal security and protection of B-

    F Mexico top executives, as well as Brown-Forman executives visiting Mexico. + Develop security specifications for all new production facilities and warehouses.

    Coordinate with Corporate Engineering to ensure the proper installation of the security equipment. + Develop security awareness training programs, as needed, that are tailored to the specific security risks faced by each production facility or office.

  • Serve as the companys liaison with local law enforcement, U.S. State Department, security officials of international companies and external security consultants in order to remain aware of the degree of any threat and the recommended mitigation measures.
  • Keep senior management and the Director, Global Security informed of serious security threats and / or evolving security threats that could significantly impact the companys operations and recommend solutions.
  • Remain current with new technology and trends in the field of security and collaborate with the Director, Global Security on alignment with global strategy.
  • Oversee the implementation of the C-TPAT requirements at Mexico production facilities to ensure compliance with the programs standards and the continuation of the companys C-
  • TPAT certification. + Ensure that the companys security program is aligned with the overall goals of the company and with the local security environment in Mexico.

  • Develop and implement security strategy in support of special events that may include VIP guests to branded events, B-
  • F senior leadership and other dignitaries. + Serve as the Risk Management representative on the B-F Mexico crisis management team.

    Perform periodic training, security expertise and ensure alignment with Corporate strategy. Must Requirements : + Education : BA or BS degree is required : criminal justice, law enforcement, security or a closely related field.

  • Experience : Impeccable track record and a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in corporate security, with at least 5 years experience as the head of the security function in Mexico.
  • Proven experience in multinational companies is required. + Significant knowledge of the global cargo security risk and demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective cargo security loss control measures.

  • Significant knowledge of the U.S. Customs C-TPAT regulations and the U.S. Government security community contacts. + An advanced and functional understanding of current and emerging security industry standards, technologies and systems is preferred.
  • Willingness to adapt to the companys organizational culture, pace of operations and requirements is essential. + Must possess the ability and willingness to be on call 24 / 7 to respond to company-
  • related security emergencies. + Demonstrated experience and exposure in the domestic and international security arena dealing with and managing security-

    related issues in a similarly sized private sector corporation is necessary. + Proven experience in executive protection.

  • In-depth technical knowledge of security standards, programs, techniques, and state-of-the art equipment. + Capacity for proactive and strategic thinking and a track record demonstrating initiative, self-
  • motivation, organizational leadership and results-oriented attitude to influence outcomes. + Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.

    Excellent team and collaboration skills. + Impeccable work ethics. Experience in FCPA environments. + Ability to organize and prioritize work.

  • Ability to adjust quickly and adapt to changing priorities. + Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to supervise, mentor, coach, guide and train security staff. + Capability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
