General Accountant Monterrey
Purpose of Position :
TheGeneral Accountant (GA) role is to support Hach and RYE accounting services to performgeneral ledger accounting, sales, accounts payable, accounts receivables,treasury, taxes calculations as Income tax, VAT, ISN, SUA revision, annualdeclarations, intercompany reconciliations, GL reconciliations, Inventoryreconciliations, as well the Fixed asset control and depreciations.
Leadexternal audits with CPA firms and accomplish mandatory requirements forMEXGAAPS and US GAAPS. Developing financial statements and reports.
Positionmay provide functional advice or training to less experienced accountantpositions.
Key Responsibilities :
oPerforms and supervise all accounting activities for RYE and Hachentities.
oPerforms month-end general accounting closefor supported entities.
oPrepares complex journal entries.
oCalculation of the Federal and State Taxes as ITx, VAT, SUA, ISN, etc.
oPrepare information require to be used in the process of closing month andreport management
oParticipation to prepare standard andspecialized financial reports (i.e., balance sheets, income statements, etc.)and performs complex financial analyses.
oReconciles and documents all accounts on general ledgers and accountingprocedures; AR, AP, Treasury, Prepaids, Inventory, intercompany, etc.
oSupervise the payroll calculation
oCreate and update Cash Flow File
oLead and support internal and external financial audits.
oFixed asset control, calculate monthly depreciations and amortizations
oPrepares files vendor payments and record in the accounting system
oImplement and improve actual internal controls
oAnalyze the monthly results against budget
oAssists in the development of corporate financial accounting policiesand procedures.
oLeads special projects as appropriate (e.g. general ledger updates,changes in accounting procedures / systems).
Channel Management :
oProvides training &support to accounting members (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll) Insiststhat sales reps / agents follow Trojan selling / approval policies re pricing,approval levels, terms, value selling, etc.
oEnsures strongrelationship with other areas to track operational activities on hand withaccounting policies.
oMaintains confidentialinformation / cooperative relationships with other Danaher companies in the WaterQuality Group
oResponsible for local accounting(General Ledger, AP, AR, Intercompany, Prepaids, Fixed Assets, Taxescalculations, Journal Entries, etc.)

Background and Skill :
oBachelor’s degree inaccounting, finance or related discipline
oMinimum of 4 years relevantexperience in general accounting
oSignificant knowledgeof accounting principles, practices, methods and techniques as well as federalaccounting regulations including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(USGAAP) (MXGAAP).
oAbility to analyze businessconditions.
