About the Role :
We are looking for a Senior Business System Analyst who will support an Insurance Company operating on P&C Lines of Business (LoB) from an IT perspective, being responsible for customer engagement, requirement gathering and analysis, change management and operational IT activities.
The main activities will include :
Build and maintain a trusted relationship with our internal customers;
Act as IT Consultant / Trusted Advisor to the Business community and management team;
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions and operating model analysis;
Analyze business problems to be solved and translate business needs into system requirements for Insurance platforms;
Ensure transparency and consensus by continuous communication and active expectations management with all stakeholders;
Participate in functional test of change, provide defect analysis and organize User Acceptance test.
Lead and manage training, change management and rollout plans for new and existing initiatives, when required;
May act as a Project Manager in addition to his / her Business Systems Analyst role;
Supports the operational delivery and the service operations, as needed.
About You :
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, with a background in mathematics, computer science, physics, finance or related.
You have tangible experience in Commercial Insurance and end-to-end understanding of the insurance value chain.
You are desirably a Business Analyst with more than 5 years of experience in business system analysis or similar role within commercial insurance industry.
You are experienced in process documentation, presentation preparation and playing supporting roles in meeting facilitation.
Demonstrates passion to perform, by stepping up and taking personal accountability and inspiring others through enthusiasm and commitment.
Manage ambiguity well and deal positively with conflict.
Confident in engaging courageously, challenging constructively and voicing opinions to find solutions.
Strong active listening skills, able to remove any barriers by communicating and collaborating with other team members, effectively managing and resolving conflict.
Enjoy working in a collaborative, multicultural and cross-functional teamwork environment.
Fluent in English and native Spanish speaker.
Strong analytical skills & detail oriented.
High on drive and initiative.
Ability and confidence to interact with senior stakeholders within the organization.
Proven organizational and time management skills, ability to handle multiple priorities, and willing to take on more responsibilities.
Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Access and Excel.
Plus : Project Management Skills and experience
Plus : Ad Hoc SQL Query skills preferably using Oracle SQL
